Matthew Spooner is a trainer and executive coach with a passion for helping others achieve greatness in their professional and personal lives.
His sensitivity to individual learning styles and cultural differences stems from his professional and academic experiences. Building on his Master of Arts degree in Asia-Pacific Policy Studies from the University of British Columbia, Matthew joined KPMG China in 2005. As a Training Manager at KPMG, he designed and delivered training programs for over 2,000 people in the audit, tax and advisory functions across the firm’s China offices. He also delivered communication skills training for KPMG staffs in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) and Vietnam offices.
He has also delivered training solutions to over 3,000 people for international and Chinese domestic firms, including:
Yangzi River Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd, Accenture, Cisco, Daktronics, KPMG, Shanghai Soaring Market Research Co., Ltd., Siemens, Moet Hennessy Diageo and Sony. The focus of Matthew’s training is primarily on communication skills, presentation and persuasive skills, coaching, and personal productivity.
Matthew coaches mid to upper-level management professionals across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, and IT, as well as professors at Fudan University – Law School, Tongji University – Business School.
